Deep sigh…. We can all move on with our lives now, since at long last Susan May Warren’s “Sky King Ranch” trilogy has been completed! Each of the Kingston brothers has told their stories, and all of the loose ends have been tied up. “Sundown” was a nail-biting page-turner that kept me wondering at the outcome right until the end, and surprised me in ways I was not anticipating.
I very much enjoyed all three of the “Sky King Ranch” stories, but the first remains my favourite because it was set primarily in the wilds of Alaska. In “Sundown” we are all over the place, from Alaska to Florida – but the adventurous and suspenseful spirit of the story remains. Colt Kingston is forced to face his demons when his entire family must join together – along with the woman he is quickly coming to love – to save the world from a terror that just may change the course of history if they can’t stop it in time. No pressure, right?! But of course it’s nothing the Kingston brothers can’t handle!
Although this is the first series I’ve read by Susan May Warren, it definitely won’t be the last. Her romantic suspense novels are some of the best I’ve encountered, and I highly recommend them to all fans of the genre.
