Oh how I love everything about this new Bible study!  “Our Father: A Study of the Lord’s Prayer” by Becky Harling is a 6-week dive deep into the well known verses of Matthew 6:9-13.  Through the lessons of this book, organized into 5 days of study each week, we uncover and discover so much about the heart of God and how He wants and invites us to pray.  Through this we deepen and enrich our relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Becky has done such a beautiful job with this book, and I love how her stories relate to the daily teaching.  The questions for study get you thinking about your own life, and the additional ‘bonuses’ such as a worship song to listen to each day really enhanced my learning and retaining of the information.  We also explore the Bible more deeply through thought-provoking cross referencing and weekly verses to memorize.

Without question this is one of my favorite Bible studies in the Moody Bible Studies for Women series.  It takes a beloved and well-known portion of Scripture (perhaps in some ways so well known that it has lot its potency for us), and helps us look at it through a fresh perspective so that we can unlock the power and peace of talking with the God of the universe.  I highly recommend “Our Father” to anyone looking for a new, in-depth Bible study that will encourage you in your walk with our Lord.
