Jericho Bliss. I knew this simply because we’ve witnessed her feelings for him grow and continue throughout the previous three books in the series, and it is high time this romance was brought to the forefront and given the attention it deserved! Ivy as a protagonist is both entertaining and frustrating, because although her big heart cannot be ignored, her strong will is sometimes hard to take. Well, if so, you’d better look elsewhere – this is definitely not the book for you, lol! “Elysium Tide” does take place in Hawaii, but it is also a fast-paced, twisting and turning, thrilling and unpredictable suspense novel from start to finish. There is no relaxing to be found within these pages! I have never before read a story by James R. Incredibly Vivid and Atmospheric
Atmospheric. Riveting. Haunting. Unforgettable. All these words and many others have already been used to describe Jaime Jo Wright’s newest release from Bethany House Publishers, but I will use them again because you simply cannot explain “The Souls of Lost Lake” without them! Even though I finished this novel several days ago, just naming the title transports me back into the story that is so masterfully written, I truly felt as though I was there. I wait with breathless anticipation for each of Joanna Davidson Politano’s new books. When “A Midnight Dance” released from Revell, I was so excited to curl up during a peaceful afternoon and dive into Ms. Politano’s captivating new world of ballet – and then chaos struck our family. I found myself instead reading this long-anticipated novel in the waiting room of a hospital – and perhaps this made the story even more poignant and thought-provoking. At first it was a little difficult to ‘get into’, probably because of all the distractions in my life at the time. But once I was ‘in’, oh my, it was hard to come back out! Continue reading
