A Lovely, Heartwarming, Endearing Story

13869_UntiltheDawn_webSliderI recently finished the most beautiful, heartwarming, charming book that I have had the pleasure of reading in quite some time. It had only one glaring drawback – the ending arrived much too soon! What is this delightful book, you ask? Well, it is a standalone story entitled Until the Dawn, written by Elizabeth Camden and published by Bethany House in January of 2016. If you enjoy historical novels of any kind, this book will instantly win you over with its sweet sincerity and unique characters, plus a storyline that will keep you turning pages long into the night!

Until the Dawn imageThe characters in Ms. Camden’s stories always seem to step right off the pages and into our world, and Until the Dawn is no exception. From the start, we are intrigued by them and their hidden secrets, while simultaneously feeling as though we have known them forever. The heroine of the book, Sophie van Riijn, is a woman who is effortless to emulate and adore, while Quentin Vandermark is an unorthodox hero whose transformation is inspiring to witness. Almost as memorable are the supporting cast members which include a troubled young boy, a crew of hardened bodyguards, a desperate grandfather, and a spy disguised as a butler! You wouldn’t think it could get much better, but add a fascinating storyline and morals that are inspiring and founded in truth, (all written with such vivid descriptions and beautiful prose that you almost forget you are merely reading and not actually present!) and you undoubtedly have a winner. Don’t hesitate to add this lovely, heartfelt, endearing story to your reading list. You will not regret it for a second!
