Do you want to live a life without rival? Although I had never identified it in quite those terms before, a new book from Revell helped me realize that my answer was, indeed, yes! “Without Rival: Embrace Your Identity and Purpose in an Age of Confusion and Comparison” is the newest book written by bestselling author Lisa Bevere. With love, humor, and an upbeat writing style, “Without Rival” drew me in from the first page and helped me look at many aspects of Christian life with refreshing and often exciting insight.

Because the concept of living a life without rival takes an entire book to explain, let’s take a peek at some of the chapter titles contained within the book to gain a better understanding of Lisa without-rival-cover-nytBevere’s message… An Identity without Rival, the first chapter of the book, shares the idea that God loves each of us uniquely, rather than equally. I know, this sounds strange, but reading this chapter helped me realize that not only is it true, but a wonderful truth as well! The next chapter is entitled Our Unrivaled God, which is rather self explanatory. Other chapter titles include Don’t You Dare Compare, Deep Wells and Wishing Wells, and A Life Unrivaled. Although I don’t completely agree with everything Lisa has to say, I can honestly say that each chapter contained insight and truth that DID resonate with me in a meaningful way, making me think and consider her ideas for my own life.

If you are a woman, (of any age older than a mid-teenager) I would definitely recommend this book. It will challenge you to think in new ways, but at the same time always point you back to the timeless truths of God’s Word. If you are ready to start living a life “Without Rival”, then don’t hesitate to find your own copy of Lisa Bevere’s book today.
