One of my favorite devotionals is the classic “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young.  I was excited to see a newly released coloring book from Thomas Nelson, entitled “Jesus Calling: Creative Coloring and Hand Lettering”, as a companion to this wonderful book.  

What a lovely way to make my favorite quotes dazzle and sparkle with my own creation of color!  I am inspired to frame them and place them in special places in my house.  The “Jesus Calling Adult Coloring Book” would make a very nice gift and has a decorative presentation page.  The paper used for this book is nice and thick, perfect for creating masterpieces.  The pages are not overly simple, but not too complicated either – pretty much perfect, in my opinion.  There are also hand-lettering pages in addition to illustrations to color, offering a variety of ways to ponder the inspiring messages found in both.

Overall, “Jesus Calling: Creative Coloring and Hand Lettering” is a delightful addition to a peaceful afternoon, perhaps with a cup of tea in hand.
