Are you searching for a high-quality, durable, and reader-friendly Bible that is suitable for everyday use? So was I, until I found a lovely new version from Thomas Nelson, entitled “NKJV Journal the Word Large Print Bible: Reflect, Journal, or Create Art Next to Your Favorite Verses”. From the floral-fabric encased hardcover to the thick, cream-colored pages, this Bible delighted me from the start. Of course, the special feature of this edition was also a bonus – the lightly ruled lines vertically bordering one side of each page allow for plenty of room to include notes, reflections, or even art next to the verses themselves.
Overall, this Bible is perfect for everyday reading. It is definitely not a study Bible, because it contains no concordance, commentary, maps, indexes, etc. Instead, this edition is designed with a very easy-reading font and print size, a unique single-column format, and pleasantly thick pages. It is also a red-letter edition.
Without question, I would recommend this Bible to anyone looking for an edition that will not distract them with commentary, maps, or other features, but instead will allow space to document their OWN thoughts, reflections, prayers, and art. In a world filled with chaos and noise, opening the “NKJV Journal the Word Bible” to its clean, easy-reading pages is like a breath of fresh air – and I think we could all use a little of that in our lives!
I received this book free from the publisher through the BookLook Bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
