A Memorable Historical Novel Of A Grand Canyon Expedition!

My favorite genre of reading material is Christian Historical Fiction, but even I have to admit that sometimes the stories can be quite similar to each other. So, when a new novel releases that is completely out of the ordinary and is just, well, “special” – I get really excited! A new book from Revell publishers written by Regina Scott was just such a story… Why? “A Distance Too Grand” transports readers to the unique setting and premise of a Grand Canyon expedition set in 1871!

Our plucky heroine is a photographer, our handsome hero is an army engineer, and their surveying expedition is filled with a fascinating and delightful mixture of science, history, romance, adventure, and mystery. I loved every minute of this story! It was well-written and depicted in a way that brought Arizona Territory to life and made me feel as though I was on the expedition too. I am so excited about this new “American Wonders Collection”, and I cannot wait for the next installment from this incredibly gifted author. “A Distance Too Grand” is one of the most captivating and entertaining books I’ve read in this genre in a long while, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys historical romances that are just a bit out of the ordinary.

I received this book courtesy of Revell Publishing, in participation with a Revell Reads Blog Tour.  All opinions expressed in this review are my own.
