“The Warsaw Sisters” by Amanda Barratt is a beautiful story that was, for me, also very unexpected. It is in the Christian Historical Fiction genre so I thought I knew what I was getting into, but that was not the case. It is an extremely powerful and well-written tale, that much is certain. The depth and emotion and historical truth of it is quite astounding, in fact. But it is also VERY graphic, and the depictions about the horrors of war will likely stay with me for a very long time. Another Powerful Book by Clayton King (Guest Review by Tracy)
Clayton King has done it again – he has written a book so powerful it is life-changing. Clayton King has a gift, without question, of delivering God’s message to us, the folks who need and want to hear it. My favorite chapter of Clayton’s new book “Overcome: Replacing the Lies That Hold Us Down with the Truths That Set Us Free” was Chapter 4 – Understand the Purpose of Suffering. I’m coming through a season of suffering, and I am thankful to Clayton for helping me understand more. This chapter came from God, through Clayton, to me. Thank you. Continue reading
Don’t Miss This Incredible Blessing

A new little volume released by Bethany House in 2016 should become required reading for any Christian going through hardships and times of pain, suffering, and confusion. “Finding God in the Hard Times: Choosing to Trust and Hope When You Can’t See the Way” was written by Matt and Beth Redman, the songwriters of a life-changing
worship piece entitled “Blessed Be Your Name”. Although small in size and less than 150 pages in length, this little book packs a punch that may forever alter your view of trusting God through hard times. Incorporating the lyrics of their beloved song into each chapter of the book, the Redmans point readers towards the trust and hope that is available to us all, even in a world of darkness.
