“These Healing Hills” by Ann H. Gabhart is a beautiful new story from Revell Publishers that is surprising in both its simplicity and in its ability to speak to the hearts of readers. Set in the Appalachian Mountains (don’t you love novels set here?) at the end of WWII, this story brings to life a special place and time in history that is, perhaps, unlike any other.

With characters so genuinely real that their emotions become our emotions, a raw and “earthy” writing style that perfectly depicts life in the Appalachians, and a tender story of love that speaks to the heart, “These Healing Hills” is truly a special book. In fact, I believe the title speaks volumes as the gentle words are like a balm to the heart, and would be excellent to read when a little extra healing is needed in our lives.

If you are looking for a sweet and intriguing story of life, love, new beginnings, and hope, don’t hesitate to give Ms. Gabhart’s newest release a try. It is definitely one that will find a place on your “keeper shelf”, as well as in your heart.
