Another Wonderful Series Reaches The Conclusion

I’ve immensely enjoyed Jennifer Delamere’s “Love Along the Wires” series from the very beginning, and am so happy to at last read the third and final story entitled “Holding the Line”.  Here we discover the secrets of Rose Finlay’s unhappy past, and watch with delight as she encounters her own happily ever after in a most unlikely place.

A unique aspect of this story is the fact that our heroine is a widow who is determined to make her own way in the world.  As she unintentionally steps into the midst of a twisted web of youthful folly and aristocratic deceit, she also manages to find true love along the way.  And of course, as in the previous books in the series, the infamous ‘spinster handbook’ is on hand to ‘help her out’ as needed, lol!

I am sorry to see this series come to an end, but at the same time it is probably for the best.  It finished strong, the three close friends have all told their stories, and now it is time for us as readers to leave the characters as we remember them.  In truth this is a better way than dragging on a series for longer than it should be, and I admire authors who finish with their last story remaining just as well-told as their first.

If you’ve enjoyed “Love Along the Wires” from the start, you won’t want to miss “Holding the Line”.  And even if you haven’t been following along, this story will still be an enjoyable read – though you will not be able to catch some of the inside jokes between characters old and new!
