What an unexpected, almost bizarre (in a good way) story this turned out to be! “Crossed Lines” is the second book in the “Love Along the Wires” series by Jennifer Delamere, and features a plot that completely took me by surprise in so many ways. Continue reading
Hurray! A new series by Jennifer Delamere begins! “Line by Line” is the first book in her “Love Along the Wires” series, and I adored each page of this delightful Christian Historical novel from Bethany House. Set in London in 1880, this is a story that is compelling, witty, and sweetly romantic – with plenty of unexpected twists to keep readers guessing along the way.

Do you love Christian Historical Fiction? Does a London setting of 1881 sound just about perfect? And if the story is part of a trilogy, isn’t that even better? “London 1879: Forced to leave all she loves behind, she seeks a new life in a city bursting with opportunity, but fraught with danger”. Although these words only give a tiny peek into the story, they revealed enough to capture my interest in this first novel of the “London Beginnings” series. “The Captain’s Daughter” is a Historical Fiction novel written by Jennifer Delamere and published by Bethany House in 2017. While this story undoubtedly contains all the best elements of Historical Fiction including sweet romance, realistic characters and interesting setting, one other facet is unique to this book in particular… Continue reading
