Hope Harbor – My Springtime Tradition!

Springtime just would not be complete without a visit to Hope Harbor, would it?  Taking time to spend a few days in Irene Hannon’s picturesque little seaside town, “where hearts heal. . . and love blooms”, has become an annual tradition for me and I’m sure many readers around the world.  Believe it or not, “Sea Glass Cottage” is the eighth book in the series – and Ms Hannon promises there are at least three more stories to come (and hopefully many more!).   Continue reading →

It’s Time For Our Yearly Visit to Hope Harbor!

It’s that time of year again, when author Irene Hannon takes us all to the place we wish we could live (or at least visit!) and surrounds us with friends both old and new.  The tales from Hope Harbor continue in her newest story from Revell Publishers entitled “Blackberry Beach”, where a soul-searching actress and a lonely coffee shop owner discover the magic of this special spot on the Oregon coast.

It’s the time of year I’ve come to anticipate for four years in a row… when we can grab a cup of tea, find a shady spot in the backyard, and take the journey to the sweet little (fictional) town of Hope Harbor, “where hearts heal . . . and love blooms”! The newest installment in Irene Hannon’s beloved, ongoing, contemporary romance series from Revell is “Pelican Point”, and brings us the story of two unlikely people brought together in a quest to save a town landmark – a lighthouse – and perhaps find healing for their hearts at the same time. I Wish I Lived in Hope Harbor!

The “Hope Harbor Novels” by Irene Hannon are sweet, realistic-yet-whimsical, relaxing stories that are certain to boost your spirits and leave you smiling. In fact, they are a lot like Hallmark movies in book-format, with some extra elements of faith added in. “Sandpiper Cove” is the newest addition to this delightful series published by Revell, and is actually my favorite so far.

As I was saying, if you enjoy Hallmark-style stories, you should definitely plan a visit to the seaside village of Hope Harbor, Oregon. It doesn’t really matter if you read the books out of order, but many characters do recur in each novel and it is enjoyable to watch their continuing stories unfold in the background.
