Whenever I finish reading the latest (and always much-anticipated) “Hope Harbor” novel, I close the book feeling refreshed. . . As though I just spent a vacation in a favorite place, a place where you know everybody’s story, and where the words “Come home to Hope Harbor – Where hearts heal . . . and love blooms” ring so true. Irene Hannon’s newest installment of the beloved “Hope Harbor” series (now numbering at five, and with more to come!!) is entitled “Driftwood Bay”. The first book in bestselling author Irene Hannon’s new Christian Romantic Suspense series has just been released from Revell. Book number one in the “Code of Honor” series, aptly entitled “Dangerous Illusions”, will keep you guessing until the end.
While not the most suspense-filled novel I’ve read by Ms. Hannon, “Dangerous Illusions” still contained enough nail-biting moments to keep me flipping pages after I should have went to bed. Continue reading
I Wish I Lived in Hope Harbor!
The “Hope Harbor Novels” by Irene Hannon are sweet, realistic-yet-whimsical, relaxing stories that are certain to boost your spirits and leave you smiling. In fact, they are a lot like Hallmark movies in book-format, with some extra elements of faith added in. “Sandpiper Cove” is the newest addition to this delightful series published by Revell, and is actually my favorite so far.
As I was saying, if you enjoy Hallmark-style stories, you should definitely plan a visit to the seaside village of Hope Harbor, Oregon. It doesn’t really matter if you read the books out of order, but many characters do recur in each novel and it is enjoyable to watch their continuing stories unfold in the background. At last, the third installment to the “Men of Valor” series has been released! Readers of the first two books in this family saga will undoubtedly flock to Irene Hannon’s newest release, “Tangled Webs”. And with the promise of suspense and intrigue, who wouldn’t?
I am very impressed with the storyline of “Tangled Webs”. The many layers to the plot, and how it all comes together in such a complicated yet understandable way, was nothing short of brilliant, and I credit the author for achieving this task to such a high degree.
