Return to the Charming Town of Heritage!

I was so excited to see a new addition in the “Restoring Heritage” series from Revell Publishers, written by the talented Tari Faris! I read “You Belong With Me” several months ago, and was looking forward to discovering what would happen next in the town of Heritage. “Until I Met You” is actually several stories in one: the continuing story of Luke and Hannah (from the previous book) plus two new romances – Libby and Austin, and Nate and Olivia.

A Beautiful, Heart-wrenching, Unforgettable Novel – Guest Review by Hayley

It isn’t every day that a book comes your way which inspires you, challenges you, makes you laugh, makes you cry, and makes you think.  But every once in a while, there is just such a book, and for me this was “Before I Called You Mine” by Nicole Deese. Continue reading

A Fabulous Start to the “Misty River Romance” Series

One element that all of Becky Wade’s stories have in common is that I simply never want them to end! “Stay With Me” is her newest release, and the first book in the “Misty River Romance” series from Bethany House Publishers. As soon as I opened to chapter one, I was swept away by this captivating drama filled with vibrant characters and an absorbing storyline. Truly, Becky Wade can write a novel like no other – she is a master of her craft! Continue reading

A Lovely Return Visit to Hope Harbor

Each spring I look forward to warmer weather, more time outdoors, and a new book in Irene Hannon’s “Hope Harbor” saga! “Starfish Pier” is actually the sixth book in this heartwarming series, and it feels like returning to a beloved hometown as we once more walk the streets of this Oregon community, smelling the mouth-watering aroma of Charlie’s fish tacos and waving at old friends from previous stories. I know, it’s just a fictitious story, but it’s also so much more! Continue reading

Sail Away to “Three Sisters Island” – Guest Review by Hayley

“On a Coastal Breeze” by Suzanne Woods Fisher is the second story in the series of “Three Sisters Island”.  It follows the story of the middle sister, Maddie, as she opens her therapy office on the little island that her family now calls home.  We also revisit many other secondary characters from the first story. A Delight From Start to Finish!

I’ll just give you fair warning – be prepared for a good amount of gushing about how fantastic this book was! (There, you’ve been warned!) “You Belong With Me” was written by Tari Faris and published by Revell as the first in the new “Restoring Heritage” series. I’ve never read anything by this author before, but now I cannot wait for her next story to release – I loved every word of “You Belong With Me” and found myself alternately smiling, wiping away tears, and laughing at the engaging story of Hannah, Luke, and the town of Heritage. My Favorite Contemporary Romance In Years!

Are you looking for a book that will satisfy your inner romantic and your sweet tooth all in one clean, funny, well-written and absolutely charming novel? Well look no farther than “Sweet On You”, the last story in Becky Wade’s delightful “Bradford Sisters Romance” series. I have long been waiting for this one, largely because I loved Britt and Zander from the moment I was introduced to them in “True to You” (Book #1) and couldn’t wait to witness their story unfold. Although the wait was long, it was so worth it! Continue reading

Come Along For Another Memorable Visit To Hope Harbor!

Whenever I finish reading the latest (and always much-anticipated) “Hope Harbor” novel, I close the book feeling refreshed. . . As though I just spent a vacation in a favorite place, a place where you know everybody’s story, and where the words “Come home to Hope Harbor – Where hearts heal . . . and love blooms” ring so true. Irene Hannon’s newest installment of the beloved “Hope Harbor” series (now numbering at five, and with more to come!!) is entitled “Driftwood Bay”. This sweet novel of healing and new beginnings tells an original tale with all new characters, though cameo appearances by many of our old friends are regular occurrences, too. Continue reading

A Perfect Novel for Summertime

Easy-reading summertime novels (usually set at the seashore) are the perfect way to spend a relaxing afternoon of summer vacation. Often these stories have a ‘Hallmark Movie’ feel to them, with a sweet, clean romance plus a gentle and enjoyable plot that wraps up with a happy ending for all. Denise Hunter’s new release from Thomas Nelson fits all my ‘requirements’ for the perfect summery story, and is completely charming and well-written to boot! Continue reading
