Written in simple, charming language and telling a timeless love story between a young woman who left her native country of Czechoslovakia and a widower and his three children, it is clear why “Sophie’s Heart” has won the hearts of so many. There is an almost fairy-tale quality about this story, and yet the true charm is not from magical qualities but rather the heroine’s deep and abiding faith in her God, and the profound effect this has on the family who captures her heart.

If you enjoy quality Christian romance that is clean, deeply faith-based, and inspiring to our own walks of faith, I cannot recommend this sweet story of “Sophie’s Heart” enough. My only regret is that I didn’t discover it years ago! But, I am delighted that Harvest House is making it readily available to a new generation of readers.
