Each summer I look forward to a new release from one of my favorite authors of Christian Historical Fiction… Karen Witemeyer! Her summer 2020 release from Bethany House is actually the first book in a new series called “Hanger’s Horsemen” and was well worth the wait! If you love western adventures, clean romances, and stories that will tug at your heartstrings, look no further than “At Love’s Command”.

One of the biggest reasons I love Ms. Witemeyer’s books so much is because she brings western romance to life like no other. Packed with a hearty mixture of outlaws and romance, gunfights and the anomaly of a woman doctor in the 1890s, this book truly spans the spectrum of emotions! As always, the writing is stellar and the characters seem to be living and breathing people with histories and hopes that we can all relate to in some way.

Undoubtedly this is one of my favorite books from the amazing Karen Witemeyer, and I can’t wait to see what is in store next for the other members of “Hanger’s Horsemen” (the band of near-legendary mercenaries who “defend the innocent and obtain justice for the oppressed”). If you love Karen’s stories as I do, or are looking for a rollicking new western novel to read, I highly recommend “At Love’s Command”!
