A Trip To PEI -Just What We All Need!

Book number 2 in the “Prince Edward Island Shores” series is one of the novels I was most anticipating this summer, because a visit to the Island (even a fictitious visit) is always a welcome retreat!  The Last Way Home” is Liz Johnson’s sequel to “Beyond the Tides”, and tells the story of two characters we were just briefly introduced to – but who now share a whole plethora of history, secrets, and surprises with us. The Sky King Ranch Adventure Continues!

You know how some series of books have plots that are so closely connected in time, the wait between their publications seems interminable?  Susan May Warren’s “Sky King Ranch” series is very much written this way – after reading “Sunrise” several months ago, the countdown was on until “Sunburst” finally released from Revell.  Now that I’ve devoured this one, I’m waiting (im)patiently for “Sundown” to be released later this fall! An Unforgettable Final Visit To Misty River

Becky Wade always pens such satisfying, sigh-worthy novels that enmesh faith, romance, and a twisting-turning plot – the result is a story that stays with you long after you reach the end.  Turn to Me” is the third and final story in the “Misty River Romance” series, and as you can imagine, it was a bittersweet moment reading the final pages.  Luckily, this story in particular could definitely be read again one day soon! New Biblical Fiction Holds Nothing Back

Jill Eileen Smith is a must-read author for me.  Her Biblical Fiction is without question some of the best in the genre, and her newest release from Revell Publishers is one of her most impressive works so far.  The Prince and the Prodigal” is a sweeping masterpiece that spans decades of time, and dives deep into the lives of two brothers who most likely you are familiar with… Joseph and Judah, two of the twelve sons of Jacob – patriarch of biblical times.   Continue reading

The Colorado Cowboys Story Continues

Jody Hedlund’s name is synonymous with masterfully written, historically accurate, compelling and immersive novels that transport you back in time and make you never want to leave!  Her new series is a bit unusual (for her) because it’s a western cowboy saga (her usual setting is earlier in history, and often in the UK), but still features all the elements we’ve come to expect from her writing.  The Heart of a Cowboy” is the second instalment in the “Colorado Cowboys” series from Bethany House, and is a high-stakes adventure that was nearly impossible to put down. Return to the Charming Town of Heritage!

I was so excited to see a new addition in the “Restoring Heritage” series from Revell Publishers, written by the talented Tari Faris! I read “You Belong With Me” several months ago, and was looking forward to discovering what would happen next in the town of Heritage. “Until I Met You” is actually several stories in one: the continuing story of Luke and Hannah (from the previous book) plus two new romances – Libby and Austin, and Nate and Olivia.

Finally! A New Karen Witemeyer Novel!

Each summer I look forward to a new release from one of my favorite authors of Christian Historical Fiction… Karen Witemeyer! Her summer 2020 release from Bethany House is actually the first book in a new series called “Hanger’s Horsemen” and was well worth the wait! If you love western adventures, clean romances, and stories that will tug at your heartstrings, look no further than “At Love’s Command”. Continue reading

A Captivating Work of Art

I just finished reading a book that can be described in one word… wow. It was a work of art unlike anything I’ve read before. Continue reading

A Story I Will Remember for Years to Come

“All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.” This famous quote by Julian of Norwich is the first line of words we read as we pick up Susie Finkbeiner’s new release from Revell, aptly titled “All Manner of Things”. As we continue reading a bit farther, we are swept away to the year 1967, where we meet a family and begin a journey that, within the first few pages, we know we will never forget. Continue reading

A Nail-Biting New Suspense from Davis Bunn

Picking up a Davis Bunn novel always guarantees you are in for a high-stakes, dangerous adventure packed with suspense, conspiracy, and intrigue. New from Mr. Bunn and Bethany House Publishers is “Outbreak”, a stand-alone novel that hooks you from the beginning, and keeps you guessing and breathless until the last page. Continue reading
