The Best Story I’ve Read This Year!

Jocelyn Green’s new releases are always at the very top of my reading list, simply because they are incredible stories filled with little-known historical insights, all told with a rich and masterful writer’s voice.  The Metropolitan Affair” is probably the best story I’ve read so far this year, and I highly recommend it to all fans of historical fiction.  And one of the best parts?  It’s only the first story in a new series, “On Central Park”, so we have more historic New York drama to look forward to soon!   Continue reading

A Mind-bending New Novel! – Guest Review by Hayley

When the Day Comes” is like nothing I’ve ever read.  It’s sort of like Christian historical fiction meets “Back to the Future” – if you can imagine that!  One description I would use in reference to this book is mind-bending.  The concept of time-travel is, of course, difficult to grasp.  It’s interesting to think of all the implications that would come with time-travel if it were actually real.  One of the biggest take-aways from this book is how much our choices matter, and how even small choices have the potential to change the course of history.  But most importantly, no matter our actions, God is sovereign over it all. Another Unforgettable and Can’t-Put-It-Down Novel from Elizabeth Camden

Whenever I reach the end of an Elizabeth Camden novel, I inevitably give a long sigh for two reasons: one, I’ve had the enjoyment of reading another compelling historical novel by a master writer; and two, a story that I wish could have lasted much longer is now finished. . . Ms. Camden’s newest novel, “A Dangerous Legacy”, was published by Bethany House and is historical fiction at its best, complete with mystery, romance, intrigue, and unique viewpoints of life in New York City in 1903.
