Don’t you love it when you decide to try a new novel by a new author, and it ends up becoming your new favorite? That is exactly what happened to me when I read “Collision of Lies” written by Tom Threadgill and published by Revell early in 2020. With a fast pace, elements of humor, and a plot that will keep you riveted until the end, it was one of the most enjoyable Christian Suspense novels I’ve read in a long time.
“Collision of Lies” is a quick read for three primary reasons: the chapters are unusually short, the pace is fast, and you simply can’t put it down until you reach the end! In addition, the multi-dimensional and oh-so-real characters who practically leap off the pages feel like friends you can’t help but care about. From Amara Alvarez and her pet iguana, to her (male) coworker with a secret fetish for “Downton Abbey”, I loved meeting every character who made an appearance – except the bad guys, of course…
If you enjoy clean, exciting, and moderately intense Suspense Fiction, I highly recommend Tom Threadgill as a talented new voice in the genre. I can’t wait until the next Amara Alvarez adventure releases, as they included a sneak-peek of the first chapter in the back of this book and it, too, sounds amazing!
