I adore all of Ann H. Gabhart’s novels that I’ve had the pleasure of reading, but her stories set in the Appalachian mountains are somehow extra-special. “An Appalachian Summer” released from Revell in the summer of 2020, and was a whimsical, romantic novel that carried me away to another time and place, and surrounded me with characters who quickly felt like friends. I certainly could not, and I’m glad to have accepted. “When You are Near” by acclaimed author Tracie Peterson is the first book I have read by this author, but certainly will not be the last.
