Emily’s Best Book Yet

Freeman_SimplyTuesdayEmily P. Freeman has proven me wrong, and I am so glad she did! What am I talking about, you ask?   Well, after reading Emily’s previous book entitled A Million Little Ways, I truly did noSimply Tuesday imaget think it could be beaten – either in unique and inspirational content or poetic writing style. Surprisingly, so much inspiration is packed within the pages of this book that the descriptions on the back cover, in publicity blurbs, and even chapter excerpts simply don’t do it justice. To give you an idea of the range of thoughts it contains – all written in Emily’s signature poetic prose – check out these chapter sub-headings: Continue reading

As Lovable as the Waters are Deep! (Guest review by Hayley)

ThroughWatersDeepThrough-Waters-Deep imageOf all the book character companions I’ve had over the years, Miss Mary Stirling and Ensign Jim Avery are two of the best. With a mystery to keep you guessing, characters that will become friends, and a love story that will melt even the hardest of hearts, Through Waters Deep is a story that should not be missed by any Christian fiction reader, or any reader at all!

Everything about this novel simply breathes life. One of my favourite aspects Continue reading

Hope Harbor header“Come home to Hope Harbor – Where hearts heal… and love blooms.”

Hope Harbor is the first book I have read by bestselling author Irene Hannon, and I’m so glad to have discovered her. The Trouble with Patience review

The Trouble with Patience image

As the first book in the new ‘Vices and Virtues of the Old West’ series written by Maggie Brendan, The Trouble with Patience was published early in 2015 by Revell.   Although not as vividly real to life as many similar historical novels, it possesses endearing characteristics nonetheless.
