I have been tremendously blessed by the Moody Bible Studies for Women series. Because of unforeseen life circumstances and tragedies, it has taken me far too long to finish reading and reviewing the latest addition to this beautiful set of books, but I’ve finally managed to do it! “Delighting in God’s Laws: Old Testament Commands & Why They Matter Today” is a 6-week Bible study written by Kristie Anyabwile and I have learned SO much from this precious book! Moody Women’s Bible Study
Powerful and Amazing
Oh how I love everything about this new Bible study! “Our Father: A Study of the Lord’s Prayer” by Becky Harling is a 6-week dive deep into the well known verses of Matthew 6:9-13. Through the lessons of this book, organized into 5 days of study each week, we uncover and discover so much about the heart of God and how He wants and invites us to pray. Through this we deepen and enrich our relationship with our Heavenly Father. Continue reading
Challenging – But So Worth It
Each and every title in the Moody Bible Studies for Women has been a special blessing for me in one way or another, and the newest addition to the series is no exception. “Promises Kept: 5 Old Testament Covenants and How Christ Fulfilled Them” by Courtney Reissig takes us deep into the Old Testament as we unpack what the far-reaching word ‘covenant’ really means, and how it applies to the promises God made to His children. A Deep Dive Into The Prophecies of Isaiah
The Moody Bible Studies for Women are generally similar to each other in lesson layout and study format. Plus, they share the same benefits of always being packed to overflowing with insightful and thought-provoking content that really helps us dive deeper into the Scriptures… But, each one is also individual and a unique blessing in its own way. “Predicting Jesus: A 6-Week Study of the Messianic Prophecies of Isaiah” was written by Kim Erickson, who brings to the table her unique skills of also being a lawyer. Using this knowledge of law and order, combined with a devastating and life-changing traumatic event in her family, Kim knew she needed to find proof for herself that God was real and His promises would come to pass… and this Bible study we hold in our hands today is the result of Kim’s quest! An Insightful Dive Into Ezekiel
I respect Erica Wiggenhorn immensely, and have gleaned so much wisdom and insight from each of her Bible studies in the past. “An Unexpected Revival: Experiencing God’s Goodness through Disappointment and Doubt – An 8-Week Bible Study of Ezekiel” is the newest of her releases from Moody Publishers, and so it immediately went on my reading list. Not only because of the author, but also because the title and subtitle resonated with me. Continue reading
A Timely Study For Prayer Warriors
Whenever a new title is released in the Moody Publishers series of Bible Studies for Women, I always am excited to add it to my collection. “Before the Throne: An 8-Week Bible Study – Finding Strength Through Prayer In Difficult Times” is the newest offering from Crickett Keeth and takes on such a relevant and timely topic. “Where do you go when life overwhelms you? Before the throne.” And if you don’t feel like you are at that point yet, this book is the perfect place to start building into the foundation of your life. Continue reading

Esther’s Story Like We’ve Never Seen It Before
When I saw the newest addition to the Moody Bible Studies for Women collection, I was so excited to see the topic! “Summoned: Answering a Call to the Impossible – An 8-Week Study of Esther” was written by Megan B. Brown, and is about the book of the Bible named after a young, secretly-Jewish queen… But let me also say, this book takes you on a journey deep behind-the-scenes of Esther’s story that is unlike any you’ve taken before.
