A Deep Dive Into The Prophecies of Isaiah

The Moody Bible Studies for Women are generally similar to each other in lesson layout and study format.  Plus, they share the same benefits of always being packed to overflowing with insightful and thought-provoking content that really helps us dive deeper into the Scriptures…  But, each one is also individual and a unique blessing in its own way.  Predicting Jesus: A 6-Week Study of the Messianic Prophecies of Isaiah” was written by Kim Erickson, who brings to the table her unique skills of also being a lawyer.  Using this knowledge of law and order, combined with a devastating and life-changing traumatic event in her family, Kim knew she needed to find proof for herself that God was real and His promises would come to pass… and this Bible study we hold in our hands today is the result of Kim’s quest! A Deep Dive Into Old Testament History

I’ve been excited about this new title from the Moody Publishers Bible Studies for Women series ever since I saw the announcement for its release.  The Godly Kings of Judah: Faithful Living for Lasting Influence – An 8-Week Bible Study” was written by Cynthia Cavanaugh and it is everything I was hoping for… and then some!   Continue reading

A Very Relevant Read

Foreshadows: 12 Megaclues That Jesus’ Return Is Nearer Than Ever” by Steve Miller has been called the most important prophecy book of the year, and I can certainly see why.  Published by Harvest Prophecy (an imprint of Harvest House Publishers) this book contains such an immense amount of information, and is an incredible resource for so many reasons.  Let’s take a look at just a few… Continue reading

A Must-Read For So Many Reasons

It’s no secret, the book of Revelation in the Bible can be intimidating, confusing, and just plain hard to understand….  Unless, of course, you have an experienced guide to lead you through and help you make sense of this ever-so-important final message from God’s Word.  In his new book “Revealing Revelation: How God’s Plans For The Future Can Change Your Life Now”, Amir Tsarfati (along with co-writer Dr. Rick Yohn) takes on this task of being our guide, and fulfills the role admirably.   Continue reading

New Biblical Fiction Holds Nothing Back

Jill Eileen Smith is a must-read author for me.  Her Biblical Fiction is without question some of the best in the genre, and her newest release from Revell Publishers is one of her most impressive works so far.  The Prince and the Prodigal” is a sweeping masterpiece that spans decades of time, and dives deep into the lives of two brothers who most likely you are familiar with… Joseph and Judah, two of the twelve sons of Jacob – patriarch of biblical times.   Continue reading

Invitations to Abundance: Such A Meaningful Experience

Have you ever picked up a book and, as you read it, realized it was such a timely message for your life right at this moment?  Invitations to Abundance: How the Feasts of the Bible Nourish Us Today” by Alicia J. Akins was just such a book for me, because the concept of biblical feasting has been a recurring theme in my life for the last several months.  None of the other resources I’ve read on the topic have been as deep and all-inclusive as this title though, and I am so thankful I was able to dive into this new release from Harvest House Publishers.   Continue reading

Excellent Resource For Those Studying Biblical Prophecy

In the past few years, my family has been led to do a great deal of research, reading, and learning about Bible prophecy and the future, specifically the End Times.  As to be expected, as we learn and study from various sources about this topic, many questions arise.  That is why a book such as Charles H. Dyer’s new release from Moody Publishers is so helpful and relevant…  Continue reading

Fascinating Biblical Fiction About One of Judea’s Greatest Leaders

Angela Hunt’s masterfully written biblical fiction always exceeds my expectations. As we step into the pages of the story, we are carried back in time to Israel before the birth of Jesus, and can see, hear, smell, taste, and almost touch the ancient setting that envelops us. Ms. Hunt’s newest novel is just as incredible (and based on historical fact) as her previous works, and is a continuation of her “Silent Years” series. “Jerusalem’s Queen: A Novel of Salome Alexandra” is the story of one of Judea’s greatest rulers, who lived in the time period between the writing of the Old Testament and the New Testament. In fact, Salome Alexandra’s reign ended only a few years before the Messiah was born, and her peaceful influence over Jerusalem (after a time of unrest and horrific atrocities from the leaders of the nation) paved the way for Jesus’ lifetime. The Electrifying Conclusion of “The Tox Files”

At long last, the epic chronicle of “The Tox Files” comes to an electrifying climax and shocking conclusion! “Thirst of Steel” is the third book in the riveting series written by Ronie Kendig and published by Bethany House, and is undoubtedly the best and most compelling installment of them all. If you have enjoyed the previous hair-raising operations of Tox Russell and the rest of the Wraith team, you will not want to miss this final conflict, which “Will hinge on one of history’s most dangerous blades”… The sword of Goliath. A Heart-Stirring and Thought-Provoking Biblical Novel

Each time I finish a new Biblical Fiction novel written by Jill Eileen Smith and published by Revell, I’m certain it is the best I’ve read in the genre… at least until her next title is released! As per this tradition, “A Passionate Hope: Hannah’s Story”, the fourth title in the “Daughters of the Promised Land” series, is my new favorite Biblical Fiction novel to date. Continue reading
