Atmospheric. Riveting. Haunting. Unforgettable. All these words and many others have already been used to describe Jaime Jo Wright’s newest release from Bethany House Publishers, but I will use them again because you simply cannot explain “The Souls of Lost Lake” without them! Even though I finished this novel several days ago, just naming the title transports me back into the story that is so masterfully written, I truly felt as though I was there. Jaime Jo Wright’s Best Story Yet (and that’s saying a LOT!)
“On the Cliffs of Foxglove Manor” is my new favourite novel by Jaime Jo Wright! Published by Bethany House in the summer of 2021, this book has just the right mixture of dark mystery, hopeful healing, and dual-time back-and-forth sequences to keep me turning pages long into the night – I simply couldn’t wait to see how it was all resolved! Jaime Jo Wright’s Most Spellbinding Story Yet
“The Haunting at Bonaventure Circus” by Jaime Jo Wright was a book that I had to finish within a couple days! It is the kind of absorbing and evocative novel that works its way into your mind and will prevent you from thinking of much else until the mystery is solved and the characters receive closure (whatever that may look like… I will warn you, there are murders involved).
All of Jaime Jo Wright’s books have been stunning in their juxtapositions of the darkness and the light of this world; mistakes and mysteries of the past colliding with their results and consequences in the present. “The Haunting at Bonaventure Circus”, however, is my favorite because I could relate to these characters more than most of her other ones… Continue reading

I have read all of Jaime Jo Wright’s novels so far, and each time I am amazed at what amazing creativity and skill she has. “Echoes Among the Stones” is her fourth novel from Bethany House Publishers, and while it was not my personal favorite there is absolutely no question that it was a haunting, dual-time, heartbreaking-but-healing masterpiece.
