With the first two books in the “Teaville Moral Society” by Melissa Jagears, I came to expect well-written Christian Historical novels that weren’t afraid to tackle tough themes with grace and truth. The third and final novel in the series, “A Chance at Forever”, was released in the spring of 2018 and follows perfectly in step with these expectations.
While “A Chance at Forever” could certainly be a standalone story, it will make the most sense and bring the most enjoyment when read in sequence… After all, revisiting old “friends” from previous stories is always a delight! Continue reading

It’s not every day that the second or third book in a series outshines the first. . . However, I’ve just finished a story which provides proof that it can happen! The “Prince Edward Island Dreams” series, written by Liz Johnson and published by Revell, began with “The Red Door Inn”, followed by “Where Two Hearts Meet”, and has just concluded with the best installment of them all: “On Love’s Gentle Shore”. Released in July of 2017, and obviously set on Canada’s smallest province of Prince Edward Island, this book was a must-read for me during the month of Canada’s 150th birthday.
I adore Susie Larson’s writing style. It is warm and personal, sweet and conversational. So, when I discovered her newest book had been released, I couldn’t wait to read it… “Your Powerful Prayers: Reaching the Heart of God with a Bold and Humble Faith” was published by Bethany House in the fall of 2016, and as the title reveals, is focused entirely on the purpose and value of prayer in the life of a Christian.
After reading book #1 in the “Keys of Promise” series by Christine Johnson, I had very high expectations for book #2, “Honor Redeemed”. Were those expectations met? Well, not exactly…
