“The Barrister And The Letter of Marque” is easily among the most intriguing novels I have read this year, or any year for that matter. Continue reading

Jody Hedlund Opens Her New “Colorado Cowboys” Series With A Bang!

Although it’s a little out of the ordinary from her typical setting and style, after reading Jody Hedlund’s newest release from Bethany House I would never guess that faith-based western romances aren’t her primary genre! “A Cowboy For Keeps” is the first book in her new “Colorado Cowboys” series, and is a must-read for fans of Christian Historical Fiction, particularly Westerns. (Basically, if you enjoy authors such as Karen Witemeyer, this story will be right at home on your shelf!) Continue reading
A Perfect Conclusion to a Memorable Historical Series
Amanda Cabot’s “Cimarron Creek Trilogry” has reached its conclusion, as “A Tender Hope” released from Revell Publishers earlier this spring. Although each novel in the series was a complete tale of its own, the overarching storylines that wove the books together are finally tied up in a satisfying conclusion for the characters we’ve already become acquainted with. Published by Revell in the spring of 2017, this story is the first of the “Cimarron Creek Trilogy”. Without question, this story contains all of the elements that fans of Historical Fiction love and expect, including memorable characters, a western setting, and a heart-melting romance, but with an added dose of mystery and drama woven in as well. Certain to Capture Your Imagination and Sweep You Away
2 Corinthians 5:7 states, “For we live by faith, not by sight.” With these words as a foundation, the newest novel by Kate Breslin is truly a poetic masterpiece you won’t want to miss. Written with insight and tenderness, Not by Sight is a beautiful tale of love and redemption – while at the same time a powerful WWI story packed with intrigue, tension and deception. Although this Britain-based book has been endorsed as being similar to the Downton Abbey television series, I believe it greatly outshines the show in all aspects of faith, virtues and morality, and even loveable characters.
