You’ll Never Guess Who Stars in the Final ”Hearts on the Heath” Story!

If you enjoy Regency Romance in the Christian genre, you most likely have read a book or two (or more!) by Kristi Ann Hunter.  Her newest release from Bethany House Publishers, “Enchanting the Heiress” is the third (and I’m guessing final) story in her “Hearts on the Heath” series.  This one I have long been awaiting, because it takes such an unlikely pairing of people, woven into a unique drama, and leaves you with a story you won’t soon forget! Wow, The “Heirloom Secrets” Series Just Keeps Getting Better!

Wow, was this ever a humdinger of a sequel in the “Heirloom Secrets” series!  “Paint and Nectar” is the second book I’ve read by the incredibly talented Ashley Clark, (the first was “The Dress Shop on King Street”) and it completely blew me away.  This author manages to create poetry out of prose, and inspire readers with the themes of hope found in beauty, and the importance of preserving the past even as we move forward in the present.

The Concluding Story to a Memorable Series

Do you love Christian Historical Fiction? Does a London setting of 1881 sound just about perfect? And if the story is part of a trilogy, isn’t that even better? If you answered ‘yes’ to any or all of these questions, I know just the book for you! “The Artful Match” was written by Jennifer Delamere and published by Bethany House in the spring of 2019. It is the third book in a favorite series of mine, “London Beginnings”, and tells the story of the youngest of three sisters as she finds her way in the world, and discovers romance at the same time. A continuing saga in all three stories is also tied up as we finally discover once and for all what happened when the girls’ father disappeared so many years ago. Continue reading

The Romance (& Humor!) at Fort Reno Continues

Do you enjoy Christian Historical Fiction with a western setting and a flair for humor? I know I do! Regina Jennings’ newest novel from Bethany House is the second in her “Fort Reno” series, and is entitled “The Lieutenant’s Bargain”. Although recurring characters from “Holding the Fort” appear regularly, this is a story all it’s own – with plenty of sweet romance, a taste of wild west danger, a dose of laugh-out-loud humor, and some thought-provoking themes about faith, trust, idols, and love. It is also set during the Christmas season, making it a fun story to read in December. Continue reading

The End of a Memorable Saga

I have been waiting a long time to finally discover the conclusion to a strange mystery that stretched over three books. . . With the release of the third “Cousins of the Dove” story, I finally received this closure! “My Daughter’s Legacy” was written by Mindy Starns Clark and Leslie Gould, and published by Harvest House in the summer of 2017. The Sweetest Adult Coloring Book Available!

Wouldn’t it be amazing if our favorite Christian non-fiction books had a coloring book to accompany them? Well, guess what?! One of the best non-fiction books I read in the year of 2015 now DOES have a coloring book to go along with it, and an absolutely adorable one at that… Fans of Emily P. Freeman’s “Simply Tuesday: Small-Moment Living in a Fast-Moving World” will undoubtedly be delighted with the new addition to the “Tuesday” collection: “It’s Simply Tuesday: An Adult Coloring Book”. Published by Revell in the spring of 2017, this is hands-down my favorite coloring book. Ever. Continue reading
