Hurray! A new series by Jennifer Delamere begins! “Line by Line” is the first book in her “Love Along the Wires” series, and I adored each page of this delightful Christian Historical novel from Bethany House. Set in London in 1880, this is a story that is compelling, witty, and sweetly romantic – with plenty of unexpected twists to keep readers guessing along the way.
At first I thought “Line by Line” was going to be a feministic story filled with the movement for women’s rights and independence, and all the things that go along with that. (That’s not to say this is a bad thing, but I don’t generally care for stories that lean too much towards the “women don’t need men at all” mindset). If you read the first installment of the “Hearts of Montana” series, then you will probably be eager for this one as well.
I was excited to read “Love’s Mountain Quest”, but I’m finding that I have somewhat mixed feelings about this book. Some parts I liked and other parts I didn’t. There is enough adventure in this book to please even the bravest of thrill-seekers, as well as great lessons in faith and character.
