A book set during the WWII time period is something I am regularly drawn toward. The stories are often very compelling, and none more so than “Until Leaves Fall in Paris”. Continue reading

Anxiously Awaiting My Next Island Visit -Guest Review by Hayley
The second book in “The Secrets of the Isles” series, “To Treasure an Heiress” starts out within mere days of the first book’s ending. We are transported back to the exact time, place, and circumstances from where we left off, only with secondary characters becoming the leads. These books should definitely be read in order, as the second book very much builds on the first. Continue reading
The Treasures of Nome Series Will Always Hold A Treasured Place On My Bookshelf
The ending of a series is always a bittersweet moment, isn’t it? The final story of “The Treasures of Nome” by Tracie Peterson and Kimberley Woodhouse was definitely sigh-worthy for me, as I’ve loved each moment of this saga from the start. In “Ever Constant” it is Whitney’s turn for a story, and in my opinion she faces the most difficult struggles of all three sisters. Continue reading
So Much More Than A Pretty Cover
I had never before read a novel by Christina Suzann Nelson, so when I picked up her new released entitled “Shaped By The Waves” I really wasn’t sure what to expect. I knew it was contemporary fiction about a girl going back to her hometown, and the cover was lovely with the ocean and seagulls gracing the eye-catching paperback… But that was about it! Boy, was I in for a surprise. Continue reading
Just A Bit Too Familiar…
I love a good princess story as much as the next girl – and when the said princess story is also a Christian Romance published by Bethany House, then you can bet that I won’t pass that one by! “In Search of a Prince” was written by Toni Shiloh, a new-to-me author with plenty of talent and potential. Continue reading
The ”American Royalty” Adventures Continue

I have been excited for Grace Hitchcock’s new release from Bethany House, “Her Darling Mr. Day”, ever since last year when the oh-so-memorable first story in the “American Royalty” series became available. This new tale continues with two of my favourite secondary characters, and takes place in the fascinating southern city of New Orleans in the year 1883. Continue reading
A Retelling Of Unique True Events – Guest Review by Hayley
What immediately caught my attention with this book was the synopsis. A classically trained musician diving into the world of Native American music sounds nothing short of fascinating! Plus it is based on a true story, documenting the work of real-life people who worked tirelessly to preserve pieces of a culture that could otherwise have been lost. Continue reading
Books From GirlDefined Ministries Never Disappoint
Over the years, Kristen Clark and Bethany Beal of GirlDefined Ministries have taught me so much about living as a godly woman and daughter of our Lord. With each new book they release, I am challenged to grow in new ways. According to Kristen and Bethany this new book is their most personal one yet, and I definitely agree – yet it is not just a ‘memoir-type’ book that gives their stories and leaves the readers wondering how it affects them. In fact, the opposite is true. Continue reading
A Compelling Journey to This Wonder of the World
“A Deep Divide” is the first book I’ve read with Kimberley Woodhouse as the sole author. I’ve previously read books she has co-written in collaboration with Tracie Peterson, but what a joy it was to see Kimberley’s voice shine all on its own! Published by Bethany House, this story is the first in the “Secrets of the Canyon” series, and I am so looking forward to reading more stories set in this breathtaking and unique location. From the first pages, this novel captured my attention and held it right until the end – with a sweet romance, nerve-wracking mystery, and lovable characters, I truly had a hard time putting the book down. Continue reading
A Perfect New Book For The New Year
I truly cannot think of a better way to start off the new year than by reading “Spiritual Intelligence: The Art of Thinking Like God”, a challenging and life-changing new book written by pastor and best-selling author Kris Vallotton. Written in a warm and engaging style, this book overflows with profound teachings as well as practical applications to begin using SQ, or spiritual intelligence, in our daily lives. The results, as you will see, are nothing short of extraordinary. Continue reading
