I know I’ve said it before, but I’m going to say it again – my summer would not be complete without reading a new Karen Witemeyer novel right in the middle!  In Honor’s Defense” is the latest Bethany House release from this prolific and bestselling author, and it is definitely one of my favorites.  It is also the third and final story of the “Hanger’s Horsemen” saga, and so it ties up all the lose ends we’ve been wondering about. Simply a Sweet Historical Romance

Last summer I was blown away by the storytelling abilities of debut author Rachel Fordham, as her book “The Hope of Azure Springs” was a delightful historical romance that captivated me from the first page. This summer her second novel was released from Revell, and is just as sweet and memorable as the first. Continuing in the setting of Azure Springs, “Yours Truly, Thomas” introduces new protagonists while continuing the stories of all the secondary characters we grew to love in the last book. A Satisfying Conclusion to a Fascinating Series

I always feel like sighing after finishing the last installment of a series, as it brings both a sense of completion and a feeling of regret that the journey has concluded. Suzanne Woods Fisher’s “Nantucket Legacy” trilogy, published by Revell, has now come to a close with “The Light Before Day”. The fascinating Quaker history combined with an intriguing plot, memorable characters, and a second parallel tale told through a decades-old journal, all combine to make this series one that I am glad to have read.
