Roseanna White’s last series “Secrets of the Isles,” were some of my favourite books of all time. Sad as it was to see that series end, a new beginning awaits us all with the start of a new series “The Imposters.” Continue reading

This Story Is Like Beautiful, Everyday-Ordinary Poetry
What an unexpected, beautiful story this was, oh my goodness! “The Wind Blows in Sleeping Grass” by Katie Powner is one of the most heartfelt books I’ve read in awhile. I cried, I laughed, I could barely put it down to go to sleep – seriously. Continue reading
Amy Lynn Green Pens Another Treasure
To put it simply: anything written by Amy Lynn Green is a MUST-read for me! “The Blackout Book Club” is her newest release from Bethany House Publishers, and as always it exceeded my expectations by far. The influence of books and the power of friendship are two themes that shine so brightly from the pages of this story, and ensure that you will not come away untouched and uninspired… it simply isn’t possible! Continue reading
I Don’t Want It To Be Over!
Becky Wade has become a must-read author for me – each time she releases something new, it quickly goes to the very top of my reading list! “Let It Be Me” is the second book in the “Misty River Romance” series, and it was the best contemporary romance I’ve read in a long while. . . Published by Bethany House during the hot days of summer 2021, this book captivated me from start to finish, and was a balm for my heart as I relished each page of these two memorable characters’ stories. Continue reading
Miss Politano Reaches New Heights With This Novel!
This has been a year filled with truly amazing new novels. Just when I thought I couldn’t possibly discover one more favorite book this late in the year… I did! But I should have known this would happen, when Joanna Davidson Politano released a new historical novel from Revell Publishers entitled “The Love Note”. Perhaps this talented author’s best work yet, this story did something to me that novels rarely do: it made me not only cry, but sob as tears streamed from my eyes! It was just that powerful, and touched my emotions profoundly. Continue reading
The Long-Anticipated Conclusion to the “Dive Team Investigations” series
At long last, the highly anticipated conclusion to Lynn H. Blackburn’s thrilling “Dive Team Investigations” series is available! “One Final Breath” released from Revell in the fall of 2019 and is a dramatic conclusion to one of my favorite Romantic Suspense sagas. If you enjoy this genre, I definitely recommend reading the talented Ms. Blackburn’s new release. However, I do suggest reading the two previous “Dive Team Investigations” first, in order to completely appreciate the depth of characterization and storytelling that is present. Continue reading
A Wonderful Guide to “Adulting”!
Adulting. . . You’ve probably heard the word, and perhaps read a humorous joke or cartoon about the concept of becoming an adult in today’s world. But have you ever questioned how to actually ‘Adult’ (a verb) in a responsible and God-honoring way that will lay a solid foundation for the rest of your life? Or, have you ever asked the question “I’m an adult…NOW WHAT?” If either of these questions applies to you, a new release from BakerBooks written by pastor Jonathan “JP” Pokluda with Kevin McConaghy is definitely one that should be added to your TBR list. Continue reading
A Haunting Yet Beautiful Story of Unlikely Friendship
“The Solace of Water” by Elizabeth Byler Younts is the type of story that stays with you long after reaching the final page. Published by Thomas Nelson, this book is an intricate tapestry that spans a vast range of emotions, from soul-numbing grief to the hope which only the redemption of Christ can endow. Although external action is not the focus of this story, the inner worlds of the three POV characters are compelling, heart-wrenching, and at times even haunting. Continue reading
A Journey of Fantasy
Fantasy novels are a huge leap outside of my comfort zone… There, it’s out in the open and we are all aware of it! Therefore, when I accidentally received a new fantasy novel for review from Revell, I was a little apprehensive about this unfamiliar genre. In the end, though, it was an enjoyable experience. “The Edge of Over There” was written by Shawn Smucker, and is actually a sequel to his previous book entitled “The Day the Angels Fell”. I had not read this pre-story, and while I think it would have been helpful in fully understanding the continuing saga, there was enough history sprinkled throughout the pages for newcomers to follow along as well. Continue reading
