I don’t know how she does it, but Stephenia H. McGee’s new release from Revell is so vivid and real in my imagination that it feels more like a movie than a novel! “The Secrets of Emberwild” is a beautiful, sweeping, and unforgettable story that I adored from start to finish, and if you enjoy Christian Historical Fiction it should definitely be high on your to-read list as well. “The Haunting at Bonaventure Circus” by Jaime Jo Wright was a book that I had to finish within a couple days! It is the kind of absorbing and evocative novel that works its way into your mind and will prevent you from thinking of much else until the mystery is solved and the characters receive closure (whatever that may look like… I will warn you, there are murders involved).

Believe it or not, I had never read a book by Mary Connealy until her newest title was released from Bethany House. Now I regret having missed out on this talented author’s previous work, because her newest story was such a delight! “The Accidental Guardian” is the first book in the “High Sierra Sweethearts” series, with the second novel set to be released later this fall.
