When I saw the newest addition to the Moody Bible Studies for Women collection, I was so excited to see the topic! “Summoned: Answering a Call to the Impossible – An 8-Week Study of Esther” was written by Megan B. Brown, and is about the book of the Bible named after a young, secretly-Jewish queen… But let me also say, this book takes you on a journey deep behind-the-scenes of Esther’s story that is unlike any you’ve taken before.

GirlDefined’s First Devotional Is Awesome!

I have read each and every one of Kristen Clark and Bethany Beal’s books, and I was so excited to see them release a devotional for the first time this spring! “Shine Bright: 60 Days to Becoming a Girl Defined by God” is a beautiful little hardcover from BakerBooks, and more importantly, the inside is packed with 60 daily doses of hope, reflection, and guidance for getting into God’s word.

Thoughtful New Collection from Hannah Anderson

Every book I’ve read by Hannah Anderson is like a retreat for the soul, a space where I can be quiet, calm, and contemplative. “Turning of Days: Lessons from Nature, Season, and Spirit” was released by Moody Publishers and is a bit different from her usual books, mainly because, as Hannah herself explains, it is “a collection of devotional essays (rather than in my typical book-length form) because I want to invite you to slow down and reflect on nature’s testimony.” It is organized by the four seasons, and includes beautifully simple sketches and illustrations completed by Hannah’s husband Nathan.

Connecting Old Testament Traditions to New Testament Truths
At first glance, the topic of Leviticus 23 may seem like an unlikely choice for the newest addition to the Moody Bible Studies for Women series… but Erin Davis brings this often-overlooked chapter to vibrant life by teaching us to dive in and uncover rich truths that reveal the beauty of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in Old Testament writings. “7 Feasts: Finding Christ in the Sacred Celebrations of the Old Testament – An 8-Week Bible Study” is one of the most interesting and eye-opening studies I have had the pleasure of completing, for so many reasons.
