“Hope’s Highest Mountain” is the first in the new “Hearts of Montana” series, and what a start it was!
I loved the adventurous nature of the story… you’re bound to run into adventure when trekking through the mountains for weeks on end! One unique aspect of this book is that for the majority of the story, there are only four characters! Yet it is never boring, which must mean that this author is truly talented. Continue reading
“What Comes My Way” is Tracie Peterson’s third and final instalment of the “Brookstone Brides” series. This entire trilogy has taken reader on a unique look behind the scenes of a wild west show, following trick riders, sharp shooters and more!
I adore Kristi Ann Hunter’s stories, and her newest novel may be my favorite yet! “A Pursuit of Home” is the final installment in the “Haven Manor” series, but it is also very closely related to the “Hawthorne House” books (Ms Hunter’s first series). This means in a single novel she not only concludes an already-unforgettable series, but she ties both of her series together in a way that feels perfect and natural. Now that is talent!
“When Strangers Intrude on Three Wild Sisters’ Hidden Mountain Life, Their World Will Never Be the Same.”
Julie Klassen is an author of many talents! From cozy tales of village life to mysteries filled with suspense, this lady’s writing is always stellar and keeps you hooked from the first page. Her newest story, “The Bridge to Belle Island”, is actually a murder mystery set in Regency England that tells a uniquely compelling tale guaranteed to keep her readers – and her characters, too! – guessing until the very end. I kept thinking I knew how things would unfold, and I kept being completely wrong.
I had no idea what I was missing out on by not reading Elizabeth Musser’s novels, but certainly I won’t be skipping them anymore! “When I Close My Eyes” absolutely blew me away. The sheer power and depth of her words, her understanding, her ability to engage and challenge her readers was incredible, and I don’t think I will ever look at the themes of mental illness and grace in quite the same way again. Honestly, I am a different and, I think, a better person after finishing this book than I was when I began it.
I have long been anticipating the last story in “The Fort Reno” series by Regina Jennings, and “The Major’s Daughter” finally released in December 2019! As the unlikely tale between Caroline Adams and Frisco Smith unfolds, I found myself laughing, cheering, and learning some fascinating history about the 1889 Land Run of of Oklahoma (there was some serious sneakiness that occurred, that’s for sure!).
“As a long-standing feud threatens to spark once more, the fates of two families rest on the most unexpected of shoulders”. With these words, I was immediately intrigued! “When Silence Sings” is the first novel I’ve read by Sarah Loudin Thomas, and I definitely enjoyed my journey-through-words back in time to 1930, and the hills of West Virginia. Although the residents of these backwoods communities may not know it, long-held secrets are about to be revealed, and the lies behind decades-old feuds are about to be unearthed.
I am always so impressed with the books in Harvest House Publishers’ “Discovering the Bible” creative series, and the newest release is no exception! Written by Pam Farrel, Jean E. Jones, and Karla Dornacher, “Discovering Jesus in the Old Testament: A Creative Devotional Study Experience” allows students of God’s Word to “experience the Old Testament as never before”, and uncover God’s plan for His children through various modes of discovery and study. Diving into this book is truly a unique and unforgettable experience, with features such as:
At long last, the highly anticipated conclusion to Lynn H. Blackburn’s thrilling “Dive Team Investigations” series is available! “One Final Breath” released from Revell in the fall of 2019 and is a dramatic conclusion to one of my favorite Romantic Suspense sagas. If you enjoy this genre, I definitely recommend reading the talented Ms. Blackburn’s new release. However, I do suggest reading the two previous “Dive Team Investigations” first, in order to completely appreciate the depth of characterization and storytelling that is present.
