I was so excited to see a new addition in the “Restoring Heritage” series from Revell Publishers, written by the talented Tari Faris! I read “You Belong With Me” several months ago, and was looking forward to discovering what would happen next in the town of Heritage. “Until I Met You” is actually several stories in one: the continuing story of Luke and Hannah (from the previous book) plus two new romances – Libby and Austin, and Nate and Olivia.

Hurray! A new series by Jennifer Delamere begins! “Line by Line” is the first book in her “Love Along the Wires” series, and I adored each page of this delightful Christian Historical novel from Bethany House. Set in London in 1880, this is a story that is compelling, witty, and sweetly romantic – with plenty of unexpected twists to keep readers guessing along the way.
Although she is a relatively new author, Rachel Fordham is quickly making a name for herself with gentle historical stories filled with faith, hope, and love. Her newest release from Revell publishers is entitled “A Life Once Dreamed”, and although it is a gently moving story, it also features some pretty deep themes and character struggles.
Kristi Ann Hunter is my favorite author of Christian novels set in the Regency era, and I have enjoyed reading each one of her books. I was delighted to learn that her new 2020 release is the beginning of a brand new series (her third series from Bethany House, I believe?) called “Hearts on the Heath”.
If you read the first installment of the “Hearts of Montana” series, then you will probably be eager for this one as well.
I always learn some interesting history lessons when I pick up a Judith Miller book from Bethany House Publishers! In her new release of “A Single Spark”, I discovered unique facts about the arsenals responsible for producing munitions during the Civil War, and how the vast majority of employees in these facilities were women. Although necessary for the Union Army to win the war, these were dangerous positions for many reasons including close contact with gunpowder, as well as the possibility for treasonous activity within the production sites. . . As was the case in “A Single Spark”!
I can always count on Jody Hedlund to deliver a compelling story that is filled with a memorable romance, a unique peek into history, and a plot that sweeps readers away. Her newest installment in “The Bride Ships” series from Bethany House, “A Bride of Convenience”, does not disappoint!
“Shepherding Women in Pain: Real Women, Real Issues, And What You Need to Know to Truly Help” by Bev Hislop is a valuable book for those wanting to understand and offer love and support to women and the many issues they are dealing with, often silently. This book provides an abundance of knowledge for deep questions, such as: how can I stop the pain? The chapters about the issue itself offer true stories, input from professionals, practical suggestions, things to say and do, things to avoid, resources, related scriptures, etc. I included the contents of the book as this speaks volumes for itself (it is organized into 3 sections).
I have been excitedly awaiting the release of “A Gilded Lady” ever since I finished “The Spice King” (the first book in Elizabeth Camden’s “Hope and Glory” series). It was everything I hoped for and more! I can’t wait for Bethany House to release the third and final installment in the series – I’m hoping it’s sooner than later. . .
