Wow – What An Amazing Book – Or Should I Say Battle Plan?

When I pick up a book by Susie Larson, I know that I will be challenged, humbled, and provided with so much wisdom and godly strength that I will not be able to remain unchanged after reading it.  Strong in Battle: Why the Humble Will Prevail” is her newest release from Bethany House Publishers, and is perhaps her most powerful work yet.  I honestly gained so much from this book that it’s hard to describe… but I shall do my best, because it deserves accolades in abundance.   Continue reading

An Insightful Dive Into Ezekiel

I respect Erica Wiggenhorn immensely, and have gleaned so much wisdom and insight from each of her Bible studies in the past.  An Unexpected Revival: Experiencing God’s Goodness through Disappointment and Doubt – An 8-Week Bible Study of Ezekiel” is the newest of her releases from Moody Publishers, and so it immediately went on my reading list.  Not only because of the author, but also because the title and subtitle resonated with me.       Continue reading

A Deep Dive Into Old Testament History

I’ve been excited about this new title from the Moody Publishers Bible Studies for Women series ever since I saw the announcement for its release.  The Godly Kings of Judah: Faithful Living for Lasting Influence – An 8-Week Bible Study” was written by Cynthia Cavanaugh and it is everything I was hoping for… and then some!   Continue reading

A Fascinating And Fun Look At Biblical Genres

“Literarily: How Understanding Bible Genres Transforms Bible Study” is one of the most unique handbooks for Scriptural study that I’ve read.  Written by Kristie Anyabwile and published by Moody, this book is practical and thought-provoking, and also a lot of fun to read! Continue reading

A Very Relevant Read

Foreshadows: 12 Megaclues That Jesus’ Return Is Nearer Than Ever” by Steve Miller has been called the most important prophecy book of the year, and I can certainly see why.  Published by Harvest Prophecy (an imprint of Harvest House Publishers) this book contains such an immense amount of information, and is an incredible resource for so many reasons.  Let’s take a look at just a few… Continue reading

A Must-Read For So Many Reasons

It’s no secret, the book of Revelation in the Bible can be intimidating, confusing, and just plain hard to understand….  Unless, of course, you have an experienced guide to lead you through and help you make sense of this ever-so-important final message from God’s Word.  In his new book “Revealing Revelation: How God’s Plans For The Future Can Change Your Life Now”, Amir Tsarfati (along with co-writer Dr. Rick Yohn) takes on this task of being our guide, and fulfills the role admirably.   Continue reading

Invitations to Abundance: Such A Meaningful Experience

Have you ever picked up a book and, as you read it, realized it was such a timely message for your life right at this moment?  Invitations to Abundance: How the Feasts of the Bible Nourish Us Today” by Alicia J. Akins was just such a book for me, because the concept of biblical feasting has been a recurring theme in my life for the last several months.  None of the other resources I’ve read on the topic have been as deep and all-inclusive as this title though, and I am so thankful I was able to dive into this new release from Harvest House Publishers.   Continue reading

Excellent Resource For Those Studying Biblical Prophecy

In the past few years, my family has been led to do a great deal of research, reading, and learning about Bible prophecy and the future, specifically the End Times.  As to be expected, as we learn and study from various sources about this topic, many questions arise.  That is why a book such as Charles H. Dyer’s new release from Moody Publishers is so helpful and relevant…  Continue reading

A New Look At The Fruits Of The Spirit

“How God Loves Us: 40 Days to Discovering His Character in the Fruit of the Spirit” is a new book from Moody Publishers written by Jessica Thompson.  This special little volume initially drew my attention because it takes such a unique approach to the Fruits of the Spirit as defined in the book of Galatians.  Why?  Because with Jessica as our guide, we step into the truth that it is because God loves us in these ways – joyfully, peacefully, patiently, kindly, with goodness, faithfully, gently, and with self-control – that we can love others in this way too.   Continue reading
