Jody Hedlund’s name is synonymous with masterfully written, historically accurate, compelling and immersive novels that transport you back in time and make you never want to leave! Her new series is a bit unusual (for her) because it’s a western cowboy saga (her usual setting is earlier in history, and often in the UK), but still features all the elements we’ve come to expect from her writing. “The Heart of a Cowboy” is the second instalment in the “Colorado Cowboys” series from Bethany House, and is a high-stakes adventure that was nearly impossible to put down. A New Destination and Adventure In The American Wonders Collection!
In book #3 of the “American Wonders Collection”, Regina Scott takes us to another historically unique setting where a courageous woman takes a stand and faces seemingly insurmountable odds. This is the very basic synopsis for each of the three books in the series, but in all other aspects of story and characterization, each one is different and special in its own way. In “A View Most Glorious” we go back in time to 1893 and journey alongside Coraline Baxter as she becomes one of the first women to climb Mount Ranier in the state of Washington, in the hopes of raising awareness for the suffragette cause and gaining women the right to vote. Another Epic Historical From Amy Lynn Green
Sometimes when an especially epic debut novel emerges from the publishing world, I can’t help but wonder if it was in part beginner’s luck… not that a lot of hard work wasn’t involved, yet how can the newly minted author possibly write another story that lives up to the first one, right? But with Amy Lynn Green, her second release from Bethany House is just as incredible as the first. In fact, you can tell that this author has so much yet-untapped, storytelling potential and creative genius just waiting to emerge, and I am so excited to see where her journey as an author takes her. A Must Read This Remembrance Day – Guest Review by Hayley
To this day “Set The Stars Alight” remains one of the best books I have ever had the privilege of reading. Thus, as the next release from this author, “Yours is the Night” had much to live up to, and Amanda Dykes did not disappoint. Once again she has created an incredible story with her signature style of poetically beautiful writing and heart-wrenching emotion infused with deeply symbolic meaning behind each word. The back cover classifies this book as only Historical Fiction – but it is so much more than just that. Continue reading
This Story Drove Me Crazy! (In A Good Way)
What an unexpected, almost bizarre (in a good way) story this turned out to be! “Crossed Lines” is the second book in the “Love Along the Wires” series by Jennifer Delamere, and features a plot that completely took me by surprise in so many ways. Continue reading
Pack Your Bags, We’re Heading to Texas!
My summer just would not be complete if I didn’t get my annual Karen Witemeyer western fix! (Although October now, it’s better late than never, lol!) “The Heart’s Charge” is the new addition to the “Hanger’s Horsemen” series from Bethany House, and also a novel that can be enjoyed all on its own. Interestingly, we get two separate-but-connected, equally important, romantic adventures in this single sweeping story. How cool is that?!

Breathtaking. …
I wait with breathless anticipation for each of Joanna Davidson Politano’s new books. When “A Midnight Dance” released from Revell, I was so excited to curl up during a peaceful afternoon and dive into Ms. Politano’s captivating new world of ballet – and then chaos struck our family. I found myself instead reading this long-anticipated novel in the waiting room of a hospital – and perhaps this made the story even more poignant and thought-provoking. At first it was a little difficult to ‘get into’, probably because of all the distractions in my life at the time. But once I was ‘in’, oh my, it was hard to come back out! Continue reading
A Tale Of Secrets That Will Speak To Your Heart
I’ve never before read a book by Amanda Cox, but I was so impressed with “The Secret Keepers of Old Depot Grocery” that I will definitely be searching out more titles by this talented author! Published by Revell in the summer of 2021, this book captivated me from start to finish with the story of how a family-run grocery store is the thread that ties generations of women – and their secrets – together into a heart wrenching tale of love and loss. Continue reading
Yet Another Memorable Story From Janette Oke!

Isn’t it amazing that after so many decades of writing inspirational, faith-filled novels that have touched the hearts of readers too numerous to count, Janette Oke is still releasing stories that take you on a journey of hope and love? Once again alongside her daughter Laurel Oke Logan, Janette gives us the sweet second story in the “When Hope Calls” trilogy, entitled “Sustaining Faith”. Published by Bethany House Publishers and the companion story to the Hallmark television series of the name, this story is even more compelling and heart-wrenching than the first book, “Unyielding Hope”. Historical Romance With A Twist

I always open a new Rachel Fordham book with the expectation of a gentle historical romance that will sweep me back in time and inspire both my faith and imagination. “A Lady In Attendance” was published by Revell, and is just such a story… with a unique twist!
